Cricket launches its own smartphone brand, first device costs less than $100 - Android

Cricket Wireless has just announced it's first own-brand smartphone, the Icon. The device is made by Emblem Solutions, a rather new wireless device supplier that makes phones exclusively to AT&T and Cricket customers.

The Icon is a very cheap handset, which customers can now pick up for just $80. It runs Android 9.0 Go Edition and it's the first smartphone from Cricket that comes with a 2-year warranty, double the standard warranty period in the United State. Moreover, customers who buy the Icon will be eligible for a device exchange-by-mail while the phone is under warranty.
