Huawei announces Harmony OS as its potential Android replacement - Android

After years of development and months of rumors, today Huawei has revealed a custom operating system called 'Harmony OS' at its annual developer conference in China.

The new platform, which was previously referred to as Hongmeng OS, is based on microkernel just like Google's Fuchsia OS.
