
Motorola, through a statement posted on the Lenovo support forum (via Droid-Life), announced late Tuesday that only the Verizon version of the Moto Z2 Force will be updated to Android 9 Pie in the U.S. That means those who purchased the handset from T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint are destined to remain forever stuck on Android 8 Oreo. And the only reason that the Verizon model is receiving the update is that it is required for the device to work with the 5G Moto Mod.
So to reiterate, the Verizon Moto Z2 Force is getting Android 9 Pie and support for the 5G Moto ...
